Chris Oldham

President, Gateway Royalty

Chris Oldham is the President of Gateway Royalty. Mr. Oldham has nearly 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

As President of Gateway, Mr. Oldham leads a team of experienced professionals and has directed the company’s strategic acquisition of mineral interest in more than 75,000 acres across the Utica Shale play in Eastern Ohio. Prior to founding Gateway in 2012, Mr. Oldham worked in Southeastern New Mexico and the Barnett Shale — the first horizontally drilled, unconventional natural gas field.

Mr. Oldham is a 2004 graduate of Texas Christian University (TCU) with a BBA in Accounting and Finance. He enjoys watching TCU Horned Frogs athletics and spending time with his wife, Kathryn, and their four children.

Blaine Grace

Vice President, Operations

Blaine Grace is the Vice President of Operations at Gateway Royalty. Mr. Grace has more than fifteen years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

As Vice President of Operations, Mr. Grace coordinates Gateway’s day-to-day activities, streamlining collaboration between teams and enabling Gateway’s rapid and data-driven acquisition strategy.

Prior to joining Gateway at its founding in 2012, Mr. Grace worked in lease acquisition for an oil & gas land services company in the Barnett Shale natural gas field in Texas.

Mr. Grace is a graduate of Texas A&M with a major in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time and travelling with his wife and child and playing golf.

Brandon-Grace

Brandon Grace

Director, Land Acquisition

Brandon Grace is the Director of Land Acquisition at Gateway Royalty. Mr. Grace has worked in the oil and gas sector for the past 12 years and has been with Gateway Royalty since 2012.

As Director of Land Acquisition, Mr. Grace supervises the sourcing, evaluating, analyzing and acquiring of mineral rights and royalties; as well as gauging valuations, preparing agreements, and communicating with sellers. Prior to Gateway Royalty, Mr. Grace worked for an oil and gas acquisition and production company in Texas and a land services company in Michigan.

Mr. Grace attended Texas A&M University where he studied Sports Management. He enjoys spending time with his son, Noah, and wife, Shelby and playing golf in his free time.

Todd Diehl

Todd Diehl

Director, Title Department

Todd Diehl is the Director of Title at Gateway Royalty. Mr. Diehl has over a decade of experience working with oil and gas leases and titles and has been with Gateway Royalty since 2012.

As Gateway Royalty’s Director of Title, Mr. Diehl is responsible for verifying title work for accuracy and protecting the company from liability related to acquisitions. Mr. Diehl began his career as a title agent at a leasing company in Ohio.

Mr. Diehl attended Youngstown State University where he majored in History and Political Science. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children or volunteering with his church in the local community.

Blake Huggins

Blake Huggins

Title Specialist

Blake Huggins is a Title Specialist at Gateway Royalty. Mr. Huggins has more than 10 years of experience working with mineral leases and titles.

As a Title Specialist with Gateway, Mr. Huggins performs research and analysis of records pertaining to property ownership, mineral rights, and leases. Prior to joining Gateway, Mr. Huggins handled mineral title research and curative work for firms in Texas and Ohio.

Mr. Huggins received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Texas Permian Basin. He enjoys reading, playing guitar, playing basketball and riding his mountain bike.

Spencer Turmelle

Spencer Turmelle

Title Specialist

Mr. Turmelle is a Title Specialist at Gateway Royalty. Mr. Turmelle has been active in the oil and gas industry for more than a decade.

As a Title Specialist for Gateway, Mr. Turnelle performs mineral title research and analysis. Mr. Turmelle has performed mineral title research in five states and over 40 county courthouses, including in the Permian Basin, Central Arkansas, and the Gulf of Mexico.

Mr. Turmelle attended the University of Oklahoma where he majored in Mathematics. He enjoys playing chess and riding his motorcycle.
