The Mighty Carroll Hills Cougars basketball team capped off their undefeated season with a 92-90 victory over Gateway Royalty.
Each year throughout the month of March, Carrollton area business and community groups like Gateway Royalty play the Cougars to help raise money for the team’s participation in state tournaments and a potential trip to the Special Olympics.
“We’re here to help support the community, donate our time and our resources, and help them make the jump to the Special Olympics,” said Gateway Royalty president Chris Oldham.
Cougars head coach Tomi Moore said the team appreciates Gateway’s support.
“We’re totally funded with donations,” said Moore. “Gateway is here to help us promote these kids out there in the community, and they’re here to help us raise extra money for our team.”
